About

A bit about me

Who am I? That's a good question! Hard to answer at my age, when there is still so much to discover, about the world, and about myself.

My name is written right there on top, so I think you got it. As for my age, I'll let you guess it! Let's say that I have known the first big mobile phones and VHS, and that by this time, nobody had the Internet at home.

I created this website to share my passion: horses. Passionated for a long time, I am now studying them in order to dedicate my life to them, and this website will allow me to share a lot of my knowledge and experiences that I had with these amazing animals.

My studies

Originally French, I chose my Baccalauréat specifically for my future ambitions: I went to a specific high school to specialise in biology and ecology in the scientific section, with an option equitation. I passed in 2013.

I then made one of the biggest decisions of my entire life: leave for Ireland to do a Bachelor in Science (a 4 years degree) in Equine Science. I invite you to read the corresponding section to find out more about it.

My journey with horses

I started horse riding for the strangest reason at the age of 3. Originally, my mother had been invited by a friend of hers to come for small in-hand hacks she was doing with her daughter. Who could have thought that I would never stop horse-riding after this, and that I would even make it my job one day!

I then started to take lessons and from then had a pretty common journey with horses. I passed my exams that we call "Galop" in France, from the 1st up to the 7th in 2012 (there are 9 of them but the last 2 are pretty useless). I also did show-jumping competitions on ponies, what eventually led me to the French Championship in 2010 with my loan pony.

But there was always this need for me to create a link with horses, to understand them, and the desire to do better.

My first contact with "natural horsemanship" was when I was 8yo at a big Show in Paris where I saw in action Andy Booth, an Australian guy who learnt from the best (Monty Roberts and Pat Pirelli) before settling in France and creating his own method in a place called the Haras de la Cense. I remember very well watching him working at total liberty with his horses that seemed so calm and yet reactive. A dream was born.

And never left me. Suffering from the riding-school environment where I wasn't finding what I was truly looking for, changing horses all the time, spending my time trying to correct horse problems, I got the chance to finally have my own horse during my studies in Ireland: Willow.

WillowDream - The dream come true

My second year of study was marked by the realisation of my old dream: having my own horse.

The 18th of Octobre, 2014, I leave for Naas in Ireland. I'm 18, and the horse I'm meeting is only 3. His name is WillowDream Monty and he's an Irish Sport Horse, showing well his origins of both the Irish Draught and the Thoroughbred.

Willow has been, up to know and forever, a formidable life partner, who taught me more tat I could have ever imagined, as much about horses than me or life in general, and he always remembers to challenge me to keep things interesting.

This website and my Facebook page carry his name because without him, all this probably wouldn't exist. After all, he is the guinea pig of all my experiences - he deserves a bit of acknowledgement!
